I totally agree. It’s a love/hate thing. Saturday was my birthday and my friends had planned big things. What they were remains a mystery because the big event was cancelled.

However, the snow is beautiful. I too took a night time walk and just listened in the silence as the snow fell. You can actually hear it snowing.

Your photos are stunning. Love the lights through the snow!

Yes, I like that first photo with the lights under the snow. Isn’t it hard when plans are foiled by the weather? Here in Kansas I’ve grown rather used to it. Staying home when it snows to me is more fun than trying to drive – roads aren’t safe with people who aren’t used to snow. But then I’m a definite home-body and don’t need much of an excuse to cancel an outing which requires driving in favor of being at home in my kitchen and garden.

I’ll bet your boys will remember the snow for a long time. Evening is my favorite time to go out too – I love putting the trash can out the night before pickup and enjoying the solitude and stars.

Your pictures are gorgeous. I love the Christmas lights photos. I particularly like the first one. I love the gentle colors and lights mixed with the evening shadows.
