I love to go to National Parks. One of my favorite is the Kit Carson National Park in Terrero NM. It is near Santa Fe, so you can pass through there and leave your sophistication. When you get up in the mountains and see the chipmunks jumping all over the roads, it makes you smile. Then, fish for trout and cook it over the open fire. It transports you back to another world. What a wonderful world we live in!

We are fortunate to live in a town with a huge, wild and amazing municipal park. From rugged back-country trails to creekside picnic tables to fresh, cool swimming holes, Bidwell Park has it all, and it's just a bike ride away!

Living where we do in Texas, we are not close to the wonderful ocean, nor do we have mountains. However, we go to different parks in the area and look at the different varieties of plants and trees. My children really enjoy the "cat-tails". We see different wildlife- from bugs, butterflies, snakes, birds, ducks, squirrels, armadillos, roadrunners (and they are fast), coyotes (they don't bother you),and any other wildlife we may see. When we have been fortunate to visit the ocean- it truly is one of the most spectacular places to observe- you can get "lost" just looking out at the ocean. But for now, we are content with the beautiful stars at night and all we can see at day.

It's amazing what I see when I sit still and am quiet in my own garden. There are many different birds, bees, and crawling insects that don't seem to mind my being there. They will go about their business while I watch. If I am there early in the evening, I may also be visited by a rabbit or two.

Brazil. In November of '09 I spent a week there, disconnected from modern technology and surrounded by nature. Bright birds, colorful butterflies, interesting insects and much more waited right outside my bedroom door. As night fell, we sat by a fire engaging in conversation and looking at the stars, shining so much brighter than the stars I can see at home. My trip there was an amazing experience.

I live in the city of san francisco. My favorite place to experience nature is in community gardens throughout the city. To escape, I hop on my bike and weave through traffic until I arrive to one of these secret gardens. They are so peaceful and it reminds me that we are living within nature. Even when it seems like humankind is conquering it, nature is there. Twitter: @BillsClimateLab

My favorite way to experience nature is to do a bit of Urban Exploration through abandoned buildings and see the way nature reclaims the remnants of mankind's destruction. So amazing to see a flower pushing up through a crack in a concrete floor to flower in a tiny patch of light through a collapsed roof, or to see a family of birds nesting in the rafters of some forgotten building. Reminds me of the resilience of nature.

My favorite way to experience nature is under water, scuba diving. Every time I dive, I see new and exciting things. My favorite diving memory is seeing a Caribbean reef octopus escape from the mouth of a scorpionfish, shoot some ink in self defense, and flee.

I love to take my kids on scavanger hunts in the woods. We look for "nature". They find sticks, bugs, rocks, dirt, and leaves. They love it! I am so happy to have the opportunity to win a copy of the movie!
